Party Cove
Party Cove, officially known as Anderson Hollow Cove, is a legendary and heavily populated floating boat party located at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Once described by The New York Times as the "oldest established permanent floating bacchanal in the country," it routinely attracts thousands of pleasure boats and partygoers on summer weekends.
Situated at the 4-Mile Marker of the Grand Glaize Arm of the lake.
To find it by water, boaters typically pass under the Grand Glaize Bridge at the 19-mile marker of the main channel in Osage Beach, turn right, and proceed about 4 miles into the protected waters of Lake of the Ozarks State Park.
Boaters back their vessels up and tie them together ("rafting up") to create long, floating walkways. People spend the day hopping between boats, swimming, and socializing.
It features loud music, water toys, heavy drinking, and a wild, adults-only environment. While the peak wildness of the 1990s and 2000s has tamed slightly due to increased law enforcement, it remains a high-energy party zone.
